วิชาจิ้งจกสองหางเป็นวิชาเสน่ห์ขึ้นชื่ออันโด่งดังของหลวงพ่อนพวรรณ เป็นวิชาที่ท่านได้รับการถ่ายทอดจากหลวงพ่อหน่าย วัดบ้านแจ้ง มีชื่อเสียงและประสบการณ์มาก จนเป็นที่รู้จักอย่างกว้างขวาง

 

จิ้งจกถือว่าเป็นสัตว์กายสิทธิ์ที่มีฤทธิ์อำนาจในตัวเอง เป็นสัตว์ที่มีสัญชาตญาณพิเศษ รู้เหตุการณ์ล่วงหน้า คนโบราณจึงมักบอกลูกบอกหลานว่า หากเมื่อใดได้ยินเสียงจิ้งจกร้องก่อนที่จะออกจากบ้าน ห้ามออกจากบ้านในวันนั้น เพราะจิ้งจกได้มาร้องทักเป็นลางบอกเหตุร้ายที่อาจจะเกิดขึ้น ยิ่งถ้าเป็นจิ้งจก2หางด้วยแล้ว คนโบราณเชื่อถือกันว่าเป็นของวิเศษที่หาได้ยากหรือเรียกว่า “ของทนสิทธิ์” คือเป็นของอาถรรพ์ที่มีดีในตัวตามธรรมชาติโดยไม่ต้องผ่านพิธีการปลุกเสกใดๆ
