ต้นแบบของ "งั่งเงาะระเด่นลันได" พระอาจารย์โอได้ไปเห็นที่เกาะบาหลี สมัยลูกศิษย์ที่ประเทศอินโดนิเซียนิมนต์ท่านไปทำพิธีมงคลให้ ได้มีเศรษฐีหนุ่มชาวอินโดคนหนึ่งนิมนต์ท่านไปที่บ้านของเขา เพื่อเป็นสิริมงคลแก่ครอบครัว เพราะเขามีความเคารพศรัทธาต่อพระอาจารย์มาก จึงเชื่อว่าถ้าพระอาจารย์โอไปเหยียบบ้านเขา จะทำให้อยู่เย็นเป็นสุข
เมื่อพระอาจารย์โอท่านไปถึงบ้านของเศรษฐีหนุ่มคนนั้น เขาก็พาชมสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์ต่างๆที่เขาเคารพบูชาอยู่ ในบ้านของเขามีรูปเคารพของสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์มากมาย ตามประเพณีความเชื่อของชาวอินโดที่แทบทุกบ้านจะมีวัดในบ้าน เรียกว่า "เทมเพิลแฟมิลี่" โดยถ้าบ้านไหนเคร่งมาก วันหนึ่งจะมีการทำพิธีไหว้ถึง 20 ครั้งเลยทีเดียว
พอเศรษฐีหนุ่มและพระอาจารย์ได้สนทนากันสักพัก เขาก็เดินไปหยิบวัตถุรูปร่างหน้าตาประหลาดชิ้นหนึ่งมาให้พระอาจารย์โอชื่นชม ลักษณะวัตถุชิ้นนั้นเป็นรูปเคารพของสิ่งมีชีวิตบางชนิด ทำจากโลหะสำริด กำลังนั่งยองๆโชว์เครื่องเพศ มีดอกไม้ทัดไว้ข้างหู แม้รูปร่างจะคล้ายคน แต่หน้าตาบ่งบอกว่าไม่ใช่คน โดยเฉพาะขนาดของปากที่ใหญ่กว้างเกินมนุษย์มนา
เขายื่นให้พระอาจารย์โอดูแล้วถามท่านว่า "พอจะทราบไหมว่าสิ่งนี้คืออะไร" พระอาจารย์โอท่านก็ตอบไปว่า "ถ้าเป็นคนไทยก็คงเรียกว่างั่ง" แล้วท่านก็ถามเศรษฐีว่าได้มายังไง เขาก็เล่าให้พระอาจารย์ฟังว่า ปกติแล้วเจ้าตัวนี้จะถูกเก็บไว้ในตู้เซฟพร้อมกับแก้วแหวนเงินทองของมีค่าต่างๆตั้งแต่สมัยรุ่นพ่อเขาแล้ว เป็นมรดกตกทอดจากพ่อ ซึ่งเขาเองก็ไม่รู้ว่าคืออะไร รู้แต่เพียงว่าพ่อเขาหวงมาก โดยประวัติความเป็นมาที่พ่อเล่าให้เขาฟัง พอจับใจความแปลเป็นไทยได้คือ "เป็นของที่คุณพ่อได้มาจากนักบวชลึกลับท่านหนึ่งจากป่าในเกาะสุมาตรา ท่านนักบวชบอกว่าสิ่งนี้จะเป็นเทพก็ไม่ใช่ อสูรก็ไม่เชิง อยู่ในอีกมิติหนึ่งระหว่างแดนมนุษย์และสรวงสวรรค์ ซึ่งตั้งแต่ได้มาบูชาก็รู้สึกว่าฐานะดีขึ้นเรื่อยๆ เรียกว่ามาพร้อมกับความร่ำรวยจริงๆ แต่เจ้าตัวนี้เป็นของทะลึ่งมากนะ ชอบดูสิ่งลามก ชอบฟังเรื่องสัปดน เพราะถ้าอยากให้มันช่วยเรียกเงินเรียกทอง เอาอะไรเซ่นไหว้ก็ไม่เห็นผลดีเท่าให้มันได้เห็นของสงวนของมนุษย์ พอมันได้เชยชมของลับของผู้ชายหรือผู้หญิงจนเป็นที่พอใจ จะรู้สึกว่ารอยยิ้มของมันกว้างขึ้นอย่างน่าประหลาด แล้วมันจะนำพาโชคลาภวาสนา บันดาลทรัพย์มาให้" โดยก่อนพระอาจารย์โอเดินทางกลับ เศรษฐีหนุ่มได้ถวายเครื่องรางของขลังที่ชาวอินโดเชื่อถือให้พระอาจารย์โอไว้เป็นของที่ระลึกแทนคำขอบคุณอีกด้วย
พระอาจารย์โอจึงได้นำรูปร่างลักษณะของเจ้าสิ่งนั้นมาสร้างเป็นงั่งรุ่นนี้ โดยนำเครื่องรางของขลังที่เศรษฐีหนุ่มถวายไว้มาหล่อหลอมเป็นมวลสาร และปลุกเสกด้วยพิธีกรรมที่นำ "วิชางั่ง" มาผสมผสานเข้ากับ "วิชาเจ้าเงาะ" ทั้งยังสอดแทรกลักษณะเด่นของตัวละครในวรรณกรรมชื่อ "ระเด่นลันได" ไว้ในงั่งรุ่นนี้ด้วย ด้วยเหตุว่าเรื่องราวของระเด่นลันได ช่างมีความคล้ายคลึงกับตำนานงั่งในครั้งอินเดียโบราณเมื่อจัณฑาลได้ขึ้นเป็นราชันย์ มากเหลือเกิน
