ซึ่งครูบาฐากูรต้องนำผงทั้งหมดนี้มาบดด้วยกรรมวิธีพิเศษหลายขั้นหลายตอน จนกระทั่งผงมวลสารทั้งหมดมีความละเอียดถึงที่สุด ท่านว่าหากบดไม่ละเอียดพอ เวลานำมาพอกตะกรุดจะทำให้พื้นผิวตะกรุดไม่เรียบลื่นสวยงาม หากผิวตะกรุดขรุขระขึ้นเม็ดก็จะไม่สามารถจารยันต์บนตะกรุดได้

หลังจากทำการพอกผงแล้ว ครูบาฐากูรท่านได้นำตะกรุดไปลงรักปิดทองตามกรรมวิธีโบราณ แล้วจึงจารยันต์หมาเข้าไส้สำทับไว้ เพิ่มความเข้มขลังเป็นเท่าทวี เรียกว่า "ดีนอกดีใน" โดยทุกขั้นตอนอันละเอียดพิถีพิถันที่กล่าวมานี้ครูบาฐากูรท่านทำด้วยมือท่านเองทั้งหมดเพื่อความมั่นใจว่าวัตถุมงคลที่ท่านสร้าง จะมีความงดงามในเชิงศิลป์ และมีอิทธิคุณในเชิงศาสตร์ เป็นของดีของล้ำค่า พร้อมสร้างตำนานแก่คนรุ่นหลังสืบต่อไป
