ครูบาฐากูรได้นำ "ไม้มะยมตายพราย" มาแกะเป็นองค์พญาเขาคำ ซึ่งไม้มะยมตายพรายเป็นของอาถรรพ์มีดีในตัว ธรรมชาติสร้างมาให้ขลัง ถือเป็นมวลสารชั้นเลิศ เชื่อถือกันมาแต่โบราณ ว่าสามารถสะกดให้ผู้คนนิยม ชมชอบ ชื่นชม ขนาดกิ่งมะยมตายพรายที่ถูกนำมาแกะเป็นนางพราย,รักยม หรือเครื่องรางต่างๆก็ยังเข้มขลังมีฤทธิ์ในตัว แต่ไม้มะยมตายพรายนี้ยิ่งเหนือชั้นกว่าเป็นเท่าทวีคูณ

 

ด้านหลังจารด้วยหัวใจพญาเขาคำ 3 วรรค ผ่านพิธีกรรมปลุกเสกในฤกษ์ดิถีมงคลที่เรียกว่า "จันทร์เพ็ญ" หรือ "จันทร์ซ้อนจันทร์" เป็นที่สุดแห่งห้วงเวลามหาเสน่ห์ “ฤกษ์ดีวันแรง” ตรงกับวันจันทร์ที่พระจันทร์เต็มดวง โบราณจารย์ทุกยุคสมัยนิยมปลุกเสกวัตถุมงคลหรือประกอบพิธีกรรมมงคล ที่เกี่ยวกับเมตตามหานิยมโชคลาภในฤกษ์นี้ เพราะอำนาจแห่งแสงทวิจันทราจะเสริมความเข้มขลังศักดิ์สิทธิ์ให้แก่วัตถุหรือพิธีนั้นๆเป็นเท่าทวีคูณ

ตามตำนานกล่าวว่าเจ้าเมืองในอดีตไม่มีรัชทายาทสืบต่อราชบัลลังค์ จึงได้ขอบุตรสวรรค์ลงมากำเนิด เกิดเป็นเจ้าชายมีหน้าตาหล่อเหลา แต่มีเขาทองคำแท้ติดออกมาด้วย เมื่อเติมโตเป็นหนุ่มก็เป็นที่ปรารถนาของหญิงสาวทุกผู้ทุกนาม จึงได้รับการขนานนามว่า "พญาเขาคำ" ซึ่งจะมีแต่เนื้อคู่ผู้เป็นเนื้อนาบุญของพญาเขาคำเท่านั้นที่จะสามารถถอดเขาทองคำออกได้ สุดท้ายนี้สองหญิงสาวผู้เลอโฉมสามารถถอดเขาทองคำออกได้พร้อมกัน จึงได้อยู่เคียงคู่อย่างมีความสุขตลอดมา

 

จึงเป็นที่มาของโบราณจารย์ พระเกจิล้านนาจึงนำมาเป็นอุปเท่ห์ สร้างรูปเคารพของพญาเขาคำและปลุกเสกด้วยมนตราวิชาพญาเขาคำขึ้นมาใช้บูชา มีอิทธิคุณครบเครื่องทั้งทางด้านเมตตามหาเสน่ห์ โชคลาภ และมีวาสนาเป็นใหญ่เป็นโต ใช้ในด้านการหาทรัพย์ การงาน ความรัก วาสนาบารมี ติดต่อเจรจาค้าขาย เลื่อนยศตำแหน่ง หน้าที่การงาน และยังคอยเตือนภัยให้เราแคล้วคลาด

Therefore, he was called "Golden Horn Prince (Phaya Khao Kham)", which only the real soul mate could remove the twin golden horns from his head. Finally, only two beautiful women were able to take off twin golden horns together. So they lived happily together forever.

 

Therefore, the ancient masters and monks of Lanna used the legend of the Golden Horn Prince to create it into an amulet and blessed it with Phaya Khao Kham's mantra.
